Contributions to Learning
This semester, I took two courses, EDLD 5315, Assessing Digital Learning and Instruction, and EDLD 5317, Resources Digital Environments. At the end of our 8-week course, students must reflect on their time in class and assess their contribution to the class. For this course, I rated myself at 98 since there is always room for improvement within oneself. I achieved this goal by completing all my work on time or ahead of the due date.
Personal Reflection
A few strategies that helped me while taking 5315 and 5317 included watching and listening to class recordings as I worked on my assignments. Rewatching the videos provided clarification and helped me complete my work on time. If I had any questions, I would reach out to other students in the class—most of the time, they were able to provide helpful answers. Additionally, I kept my e-portfolio up to date to stay on track and regularly checked the grade book to keep up with weekly deadlines. Staying organized made a big difference in managing my workload and reducing stress. These habits not only helped me succeed in those courses but also prepared me for future classes.

On the first assignment, we were asked to create a Publication Outline. I earned a 48 out of 50 on this assignment. Completing it really helped me understand what I wanted to focus on in my publication. Creating the outline allowed me to think more deeply about the message I want to convey to my readers on the internet. It also helped me organize my thoughts and structure my ideas in a logical way. Overall, this assignment laid a strong foundation for the rest of my work in the course.

On the second assignment, we were asked to write a Rough Draft of our Publication. I earned a grade of 42 out of 50 on this draft. Looking back at the critiques and the elements I was missing, I was able to clearly see what needed improvement. Revising and adding more detail and "color" to my draft helped me better understand the reasons behind the grade I received. This process also showed me the importance of thoughtful editing and how it can strengthen my overall message.

On the third assignment, we were asked to create a Media Project based on our innovation proposal. For this assignment, I earned a perfect score of 150 out of 150. This was honestly my favorite assignment in the entire program so far. For the project, we created a podcast where the speakers discussed the benefits of using e-portfolios in the classroom. The podcast also explored how e-portfolios can be easily incorporated into daily instruction and the positive impact they can have on student learning and engagement. Working on this podcast allowed me to be creative while still focusing on educational content. It also gave me a new appreciation for how media can be used to share ideas in an engaging and meaningful way.

For the fourth assignment, the Publication Final Draft, I used all the feedback I received from Dr. B and my peers to make meaningful edits to my final draft.
Collaboration Group
In my collaboration group, I worked with Kelsie Adams, Greg Hamilton, Veronica Mata, and Angela Speck. Throughout this 8-week course, we collaborated on five discussion posts. In those posts, we built upon each other’s ideas and continued to grow together as the weeks went on. Along with the discussions, we also provided feedback to help improve each other’s publication final drafts. Most of our group has been together since the beginning of the program, and honestly, we’ve grown so much by learning together and building on one another’s thoughts and ideas. Our strong communication and mutual respect made it easy to share honest feedback and stay on track. I truly feel that working with this group enhanced the quality of my work and made the experience more enjoyable.
Conclusion
Over the past two weeks of taking these two courses, I’ve learned so much! I hope to carry everything I’ve learned into my final two classes of the program. Dr. B, thank you for your guidance and kind words that kept us all motivated. I truly appreciate your support. These courses have challenged me in the best ways and pushed me to grow as a writer and thinker. I’m excited to take what I’ve gained here and apply it moving forward. See you in a week!
