Implementation Overview

1. Where does your Overview/Start Here module fit in the course?

        The Overview/Start Here module fits into the course at the top of the page to have students recognize where to begin the course.

2. How does your instructional design approach appear in the modules?

My instructional design approach aligns with the principles of backward design. I first determined the skills and knowledge students would need to develop their Google Site, and then structured the instruction to achieve those outcomes.

3. Where and how are course goals and outcomes shared with learners?

The course goals and outcomes are detailed in the course syllabus, while the relevant TEKS can be accessed through Google Classroom.

4. How do modules align outcomes, activities, and assessments?

Fink’s 3 Table Column and BHAG.

5. Is the approach student-centered or teacher-led?

Teacher Led

6. What is the instructor’s role (Presenter, Facilitator, Coach, Mentor)?

The instructors role will act as the facilitator.

7. Is the course blended or fully online?

This course will be using blended learning. 

 

8, How do you introduce yourself and build a learning community?

- I introduce myself in the "Welcome Video "

- Promote an open space

- Promote Growth Mindset

9. What is the ratio of synchronous to asynchronous activities?

Instruction begins as fully asynchronous. As the year advances, the amount of synchronous engagement will gradually increase.

10. How will you address infrastructure and support needs for learners?

- There will be 1:1 ratio of Chromebooks to students

- Reliable Wifi will be checked on daily to ensure we can use to the internet.
