Influencer Strategy

Technology is changing rapidly, especially in the classroom. By introducing e-Portfolio's into the classroom, the students will gain a sense of accountability and creativity to their learning. Menard (2024) stated, "E-portfolios can be rich and indispensable sources of information for educators and students, which going forward should become a standard feature at all proactive schools and colleges." This will not only increase the usage of technology, but it will also enhance the use of technology. By introducing e-Portfolio's, the time spent creating your ePortfolio is good preparation for job and graduate/professional school interviews (Indiana University 2025). e-Portfolio's will help pave the way for our students to be successful in the classroom, and to also help them be successful for their future. e-Portfolios aid in metacognition by providing students a space to pause and reflect on learning and how to transfer it to future contexts (University of Arizona 2025).

Results I want to Achieve?

  • Students will increase their accountability to their own learning as they build their e-Portfolio.

  • Students will be able to retain information more by going back to each tab in their e-Portfolio.

  • Students will gain creativity as they are making the e-Portfolio their own.

  • Students will gain empowerment by allowing the students to enhance their critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

How Will I Measure The Results?

  • By checking their e-Portfolios weekly, I can make comments on things they can work on to make their work better.

  • As assessments are taken, the teacher can go back and help with misconceptions

  • At the beginning of the year, students will take a test before creating e-Portfolio's to see what level the student is on.

  • Post Assessment: Students will take the same test before the STAAR test to see where they are in terms of are they state ready to pass the exam.

Vital Behaviors to Change

  • Student Involvement: Students consistently update their e-Portfolios as it is being taught.

  • Parent Involvement: Parents can check their students work weekly to see what they are doing for the week.

  • Teacher Involvement: Teachers and staff can work with one another to come up with better solutions if there were any problems pertaining to the e-Portfolio.

Six Sources of Influences

Encourage all teachers, especially veteran teachers to integrate technology more in their classroom. Slowly introduce e-Portfolio's to teachers to see the benefits of using them in the classroom.

Offer professional development to show the benefits and usefulness of using e-Portfolio's in the classroom. e-Portfolio's can be used to increase accountability and creativity to our students education.

Create a group of team leaders and group them based on content. The team leads would be in charge to help train teachers to incorporate e-Portfolio's into the classroom.

Teachers will meet with their team lead and share theirs thoughts and see how they can improve and what can be done to improve the e-Portflio's

Give teachers incentives to help encourage innovation of e-Portfolio's into the classroom. Incentives include no duty for a week, meals covered for the week, etc.

After weekly checks, students who add more to their e-Portfolio's can have free time on their phones for meeting the expectations of the week.
